Artifact C3: Reflection

This entry contains my Philosophy for Practice Statement, developed in SDAD 5300: Foundations of Student Affairs. It reflects on the first four years of my career in student affairs prior to SDA and events that prompted me to shift from a high-control approach to my work to one that places more power in the hands of students. I discuss the importance of balancing time, trusting in students’ ability to pick things up, and giving them—and myself—room to grow.
